Newton Rotary event of 1978.

For the rest of us, and to refresh some of the older members,

WE sponsored the US NAVY BAND.  2 performances on April 5, 1978 at the Vocational School

Apparently there is no charge to book the band, except for the hall rental. We did have a program book that contained a lot of interesting ads, from the period, including several from current members:

Smith & McCracken;  Budd Travel “Join the Navy or See Us”; Seplow Liquors;

Condit Motors; Morville Insurance and even the PLAYBOY CLUB

Jack Hontz was very instrumental in bringing the band, here, I learned, as as I understand it was largely responsible for bringing the band, here.
