Steve presented a Paul Harris +1 recognition award to Jim Taylor for all of his tireless work (that most of us don’t see) on behalf of Newton Rotary, and he then surprised Helen by presenting her a Paul Harris recognition award (using his points) for all of the work that she does behind the scenes to assure that our finances are in order and all of our bills are paid!  Congratulations to both recipients!!

Introduction of Program:  Mark Hontz introduced our program for the day and the history of the 40-year old Ross Redmond Short Term Exchange Program with Shikoku, Japan.  Three students from Kittatinny Regional High School participated this year, including Susanna Hontz, Bridget O’Keefe, and Efrain Roman.  Using a prepared slide presentation, they each spoke about their experiences both when in Japan and when hosting one of the Japanese students when they came here.  Excellent program!!!
