This Week: We are meeting at the Newton Country Club to honor the 2017 Newton Rotary Scholarship recipients. The cost for lunch is $27.00.
Last week: Rod Seifert gave a presentation on the Rotary District website and how each club can use ClubRunner to highlight their activities and attract new members. He recommends that the website contain lots of pictures, as well as a section for downloads (because many of the forms which the Clubs use can be made available as PDFs). Rod maintains the district website at http://www.rotarydistrict7470.org .
Guests and Visiting Rotarians: Dawn Hall (Branchville Rotary), Eric Snyder (Assistant DG, Branchville Rotary), Rod Seifert (Rotary Club of the Rockaways), and Honorary members ET Holland and Dottie Budd. Jon Sinclair welcomed our guests.
Announcements:
We are meeting at the Newton Country Club for lunch on June 7th. The cost for lunch is $27.00.
President Charles is scheduled to have a pacemaker put in on Friday morning. He expects to be back at lunch on the 7th.
The Newton Rotary Garden Party will be held on Saturday, June 24th, at Jerry and Maureen Hanifan’s home. The address is 143 Hunts Pond Road in Fredon. Tickets are $20 each. We need some strong men to volunteer to help with setting up and breaking down tables. There is a sign-up on the lunch tables. Please plan to bring an appetizer, salad, or dessert (do not bring shrimp cocktail – Shoprite donates a lovely platter each year) or you can donate cash to be put toward food purchases. See Denise Current to help with any of these items.
Picture Fines: None.
