Rotary Notes:
This week 11/3: T/B/A.
Last Week 10/27: Todd opened the meeting at 12:15 PM and John Iliff said the prayer. Together, Steve and Todd found the right key for God Bless America. Kathy Shankman was our guest.
Steve Wescott discussed his Financial Planning practice for Vocational Day. Steve spoke about being a pioneer in the Financial Planning industry when RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) practices were relatively new and the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation had only recently been developed. Today, there are 85,000 CFPs in the USA and 193,000 worldwide. After first starting his own business, he later partnered with two CFPs in Sparta to generate economies of scale and formed Sterling Financial. He is now retired from the firm which manages $625 million and generates $3 million in revenue annually. His legacy is having helped over 100 families retire comfortably. Alice thanked our speaker.
Next week 10/10: We will NOT MEET AT THE LAFAYETTE HOUSE. We will meet with our sister Club in Sri Lanka over Zoom at 9:30 AM (8:00 PM in Sri Lanka) for a Joint meeting. Please use the link, below, to join the meeting:

Announcements:
- Today was “catch-up day” for donations to the Homeless Project – and the same for next week. If you have not done so already, please bring hats and scarves, socks, and toothbrushes and toothpaste to the next meeting.
- The Dictionary Project team will order 180 dictionaries for 3rd-grade students this year.
- The 2023 Anniversary Committee will meet at President Laura’s house on November 1st. Happy $:
- Carolyn is happy that the NYC Terry Fox Run took place in person this year, after being virtual in 2020 due to COVID. The run, in Central Park in NYC, was started by her husband in 1994 and has since raised over $3 million for cancer research.
- Todd is happy to report that his first experience brewing beer was successful (yes, in the parsonage!). He is also happy that his daughter is extending her Disney internship where she is now working with the Cirque du Soleil.
- John Frank is happy that when he and Frank Eberhart drove George Kaiser to Morristown Hospital for a procedure, Frank actually bought him a roll and coffee when they stopped for a break!
John Frank won the 50/50 but drew the 7 of hearts. The pot grows…
