John Frank welcomed everyone such as former rotarian Tom Digby would have welcomed our guests, "Welcome".
Happy Dollars:
Mike Hanifan was pleased to have our fellow rotarian Heidi Weber join us, who he has known since grammar school. It was also nice to see more than five people in attendance.
Steve and Helen had a successful trip to Florida. when they left Florida the temperature was 85 degrees and upon return to New Jersey the temperature was 59 degrees. He understands why old people go to Florida.

Bill Vierbuchen Executive Director Camp Nejeda
Bill grew up in Bridgewater, NJ and spent time in medical sales before joining the Board of Directors at Camp Nejeda.
Camp Nejeda is a Type 1 Diabetes camp.
His discussion began asking for the definition of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes is when the pancreas stops working. The beta cells (insulin producing cells) start attacking each other.
Type 2 Diabetes is when your blood sugar is too high.
The camp accommodates about 80 children per week. It runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
It receives no state or government funding and solely operates on corporate sponsors and donations. The cost per child is $2000.00.
The camp also offers Family Camp and Adult Camp.
Bill and our members were quite engaged and provided a great deal of information about diabetes.
