Laura introduced today's surprise Guest Speaker - Barbara Miller - She was District Governor 2003-2007 - joined Newton Rotary 2010 ,among many achievements.

Informative talk on the importance and purpose of having a District Leadership. Leadership in the Rotary District is run the same as leadership in the individual clubs. Rotary International required that we join with other counties because of lagging membership. Our District is now 2,100 members in 83 clubs. One of the most recent challenges to meeting in person is the expansion of Zoom meeting and Webinars. These help to train clubs and support club projects. One of the big takeaway's Barbara had was that we basically need to stay connected to the District.
