Last Meeting: 10/14/2015
The Invocation was given by Jerry Hanifan
President Jerry led us in the Pledge
Steve Wescott led us in song with “America the Beautiful”.
Guest Speaker - Dr. Pamela Alberto, Dental Surgeon in Sparta.
She also teaches at the Rutgers School of Dentistry. Besides her practice & teaching, she volunteers to go to poor areas of the Dominican Republic and Haiti to provide much needed service to those who cannot otherwise get help. Haiti has the poorest population and having a toothbrush is considered a luxury.
The Dominican Republic has poor areas along the border in contrast to the luxury resorts in the area. Her teams go to them to treat children and adults.
Since baseball is a much loved sport there and they bring American baseballs for the children to entice them to get their teeth worked on.

There were many happy dollars from the visiting group as well as from our club. Charles noted he got his start in Rotary with the Roxbury Rotary Club. In the past, he had a few really good names by which they knew him. We prefer Charles.
