Newton, New Jersey              July 22, 2020            Carolyn Ottenbreit, Editor

This Week:  We will meet in person at the Food Booth at the Fairgrounds at 12:15 PM this Wednesday, July 22nd. There will be no program, this is a social event.  Please bring your own lunch, or eat before you arrive. Also, bring your own lawn chair if you would like to increase your social distance!

Last Wednesday, Cathy Kut, a Realtor with Realty Executives in Sparta, discussed the current real estate market in Sussex County (strong!) and ways that potential sellers can maximize the value of their property.  Cathy sold Laura Camp’s daughter’s home in 10 days, and Laura was happy to share what she learned.

Happy $:

  • Alice is happy to be meeting at the Fair Booth this week.

  • Buzz has taken on the painting project, working with John Roberts.  See Buzz or John to help out.
  • Carl Lazzaro would like to move and organize perishables and non-perishables at the food booth, in preparation for a thorough cleaning of the Booth.  Please see Carl to help with the move.
  • We continue to brainstorm ideas for fundraisers.  One suggestion is to sell pavers, labeled with the donor’s name, as a fundraiser – since we need to reset pavers at the Fair Booth anyway.
