Newton, New Jersey          January 12, 2022               Bud Luthman, Editor

President Laura rang the bell at 12:13 p.m.
Wayne McCabe prayed that the weather would warm up so that more members would be in attendance.
Steve Wescott led us in song.

Kathy Shankman had no visitors to welcome so she welcomed the 12 members in attendance.  The Shankman's and the Wescott's made up 1/3 of those in attendance.

Gift of Life raffle tickets are available.  COVID has canceled attending the Super Bowl but there is a prize package worth $3,000
The Chili open is still on for 2/5.  As usual, our club will be bartenders.  Call Nancy Morrissey if you can help.
The Homeless project as well as the sale of the quilt are temporarily on hold.
The dictionaries have arrived as well as the labels.  Next week we will be putting the Newton Rotary label on the dictionaries.

Due to the unsettled environment of today, our Board has decided to cancel the pancake breakfast.

Happy Dollars
Jim Taylor is going to be a first-time grandfather.
Buzz happy Alabama lost.
Frank is going back south so everyone gave a happy dollar.
Cathy hopes all the conditions limiting attendance will just go away.

Laura encouraged everyone to call another member just to say he/she is missed.

There was not a program today, so we just enjoyed fellowship around the tables.  I learned a lot about the school bus business from Denise, a lot about county history from Wayne but nothing from Frank.

Frank won $4 from the 50/50 but the pot of $198.00 grows.

Adjournment of the meeting occurred at 1:16 p.m.
