Program: Dr. Farhard Idjadi was our guest speaker who spoke about the Newton Free Clinic.  Dr. Idjadi, a general surgeon, provided us with a verbal bio of his very interesting background.  He was born in Iran but has lived his entire adult life in the United States.  He graduated from Columbia and completed his residency at NYU.  He served in the United States Air Force.  He settled down in Sussex County and worked at St. Clare’s hospital from 1974-2006. He retired but was eager to give back to the community.  He volunteers part-time at the Newton Free Clinic along with the other Sussex County doctors who all volunteer their time at the clinic.  They provide a wide variety of services.  The clinic is open Monday and Thursday evenings 6-8 PM and Saturday mornings on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 9-11 AM.  Visit their website for more information @ http://freeclinicnewton.org.

50/50:  Lonnie Pam won $8 but not the pot that now has $96.

Carolyn closed the meeting at 1:15 PM.
