Last Week, June 22
Pres. Jerry led us in the flag salute and, then, undaunted, led us in song (or some facsimile thereof). Bud Luthman displayed his Mensa qualities by leading us in an impromptu, but noteworthy, prayer.
“Turning 65 . . . Now What” was the title of a program presented by Ted and Linda Cosgrove of Senior Insurance Associates. A subtitle might be “Everything you need to know about signing up for Medicare.” Ted and Linda journeyed us through Medicare and all its appurtenances. Those in attendance were treated to a detailed analysis of Medicare. The program was of import to those already on Medicare, those approaching the magical age and even those thirty years removed.
Guests
Jerry Hannifan; also someone in what was described as a “hippie-like” shirt.
Photo Fines
Those photographed were not seen this day.
Announcements
Fireside chats will resume this August or September.
A social evening is in the planning stages (in lieu of a luncheon meeting).
Jerry thanked all those who helped to make Trash to Treasures a successful project.
Jerry also reminded members to sign up for two shifts at the Fair Booth. Volunteers are still needed for various shifts.
Jerry also reminded us that Carl and Pam Lazzaro are this year's Golf Outing's honorees.
Happy Dollars
Only a few this week:
Denise for Trash to Treasures – a good day which netted approximately $620.
Jerry for Barbara Miller who was released from the hospital.
50/50
Alice Vigiletti won the 50/50 but left the pot for, yet, another day.
