John Taranto of Thorlabs gave an interesting history of how the company started and grew in the Newton area. Today they are an international company and still growing. Headquarters is still in Newton. They employ many from our community and always contribute to local causes.
Thorlabs has always prided themselves with complete customer centricity-all customer…speed, selection and delivery of products and service. They say that the customer signs their paychecks. Thorlabs is a HiTech company dealing with Optic Fiber Options for electronics, mechanics and imaging.
Photo tonics applies to anything with light. Parts they have made are currently on the Space Station.
They have 10 facilities around the world and several here in Sussex County.
