Lisa welcomed everyone.

 

Happy Dollars: 

Denise was happy to hear from a former foreign exchange student from Argentina, Ernesto Rendich.  He was hosted by George and Judy Kaiser and Rodney and Peggy Boaz from January 1971 until January 1972.  He is looking forward to visiting this coming June.

Steve and Helen spent an enjoyably warm week in St. Thomas.

Helen dittoed Steve's report and mentioned that she swam with dolphins and sea lions.

Lisa attended a wedding in North Carolina.

John Roberts represented his company on the St. Judes radiothon.  A great deal of money was raised.

 

Guest Speakers: 

Ken and Mary provided music therapy for the patients at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice home in Fredon.  Unfortunately the home closed due to increasing government requirements and financial demands.

They composed a group of songs, which they call "Songs of Hospice", hoping to share what they believe elder care and nursing care should be.  Songs that provide comfort.  They realize the journey that the patients and families go through before entering the home for hospice.

Their wish is to gain help to reopen the facility as they recognize the need.

In closing, they entertained us with song.
