History of the Newton Rotary Golf Outing and Our Club
The people who started it were George Morville senior, Pat Dolan, Joe Quinn and Ed McCracken. It was started as a fun time in 1962. As early Rotarians, you learned about the Newton Memorial Hospital and had set a goal of raising a million dollars for the hospital. 18 - 1 million has been given over the years with help of large donations. Bob McCracken is currently the Chairman of the board of the Newton Memorial Hospital and a Lifetime Newton Rotary Member. The Golf Outing is a good place to meet with friends
and introduce others to the club while having a good time.
