Announcements
Bill Kehoe gave a recap of the pancake breakfast we served over 200 people and had a great time. Thanks to all of those who volunteered and contributed.
Pres. Charles tried unsuccessfully to avoid a long drawn out speech regarding all of his accomplishments as president now that he has 3 months to go in his tenure. He spoke about a major push in establishing committees around each of the Avenues of Service. The first meeting of every month will be now be In-Service. Our committee chairs are excited.
Pres. Charles highlighted the clubs financials including the following:
- Our account balance has been steadily improving for the last few years.
- We’ve saved considerably on the cost of lunch by making the move to Spring Street Grill.
- We have 39 current and former members who are Paul Harris Fellows.
- We made a $23,000 donation to the Newton Medical Center.
- Our profits from the fair were down this year due to weather.
- The board is looking into other possible fundraising activities.
- We added 7 new members this year but have lost 11.
- The Early Act program is off to a great start at Kittatinny. Newton is looking into establishing a program.
