In the absence of Pres. Jerry, Charles assumed the helm and led us in the Pledge. Carl led us in prayer and later welcomed guests. Helen Wescott provided copies of the Battle Hymn of the Republic as well as historical facts about the revered song. Steve Wescott then led us in 38 part harmony. It appears that the Club's musical talent is improving to a point where an audition for “The Voice” or “American Idol” might be in offering for 2016. What was once cacophony has transitioned to melodious alchemy.
Colleen Bystrak and Ed Shuman provided the Club with a history of and the range of services offered by Sports Training Physical Therapy. The organization consists of nine locations and specializes in orthopedic and adolescent sports medicine. STPT is proud of its one to one relationship with patients; i.e., the patient has the same therapist for each therapy session. The presentation generated a stimulating Q & A session with discussion also devoted to the growing number of middle school and high school athletic injuries.
