Program for October 17:  Happy Dollars, Club information and spirited socialization form the prologue for our feature presenter – Carla Andersen whose topic is Producing Local Maple Syrup.  (It's pancakes and waffles for breakfast on Thursday.)

Last Week, Wednesday, October 10, 2018
Pres. Bill opened the meeting and Rev. Todd offered this day's prayer.  Steve Wescott harmonized the opening bars of God Bless America.  The chorus joined in on one of its better mellifluous, musical moments – a reflection on the days of yore when each meeting featured a few songs from The Rotary Songbook.  Yes, there really is a Rotary Songbook.  Some may even remember the favorite,       “R-O-T-A-R-Y THAT SPELLS ROTARY.”

Carolyn introduced Gary Chiusano, Sussex County Surrogate as our featured presenter on this date.  Gary began his remarks via the introduction of paraprosdokian replete with a definition and examples.  He then shared a historical perspective of the Surrogate in New Jersey and highlighted the duties and responsibilities inherent in the position.  Gary also shared examples of some rather “different” wills.  Additionally, Gary explained the rules of the state of New Jersey if no will exists.  Emphasis was made of not only the importance of a will but also the need to periodically review one's will.

Guests
Joining us on this date was Maryann Taylor guest of Bob Shankman (who donned a Boston Strong shirt in recognition of a certain baseball team who eliminated another certain team from the playoffs).
