Our guest speaker was Joanna Hayden, a Health Education and Behavior Associate, who gave us some very good tips for staying well.

Joanna is a retired teacher from William Paterson University, but could not sit still in retirement.  She started her business teaching others ways to be well.  She writes a column in the Tap into Sparta News.  Joanna has a website and a blog.

One big tip she offered, is to get a step tracker and walk a minimum of 5 to 10,000 steps a day.  Simple walking is great exercise.  Medicare covers up to one year of her education program.
