Elizabeth Nuss - Child Protective Services
Children's needs are most important.
First Choice is that the child goes with relatives or friends of the parents. Parents get to choose. Top goal is to reunite the child with the birth family.
After three years of child in foster system, adoption becomes an option.
State of NJ charges nothing for their services and helps adoption parents with legal fees.
Wayne spoke about a Zoom course he attended re: membership. If someone comes, they should be greeted and seated between two members who talk about what we do. Then the membership chair talks to them after the meeting and invites them back.
Before we closed, the club read: "What the New Member Should Know About Rotary", prepared from an address on June 30, 1927 before the Rotary Club of Temple, Texas.
John Cuozzo won the 50/50 in the amount of $4, but chose the 7 of Hearts, leaving $30 in the pot.
