Newton Rotary visited Newton Memorial Hospital for the 11/8 meeting.
We started with the Pledge, Prayer by President Emeritus, Carl Lazzaro, and the National Anthem by James Taylor with guitar at Lewiston High School.
We made an announcement that long-time member and friend Tom Digby had passed away and had a moment of silence in remembrance of him.
Nancy, our Sergeant at Arms, checked around the room for guests. They were...
Mike Hanifan's daughter, Katelin, home from the Merchant Marines and Rachel.
Members of the Hospital board were there too, Megan Sandow, Robert Adams, Steve Flynn, and Bob McCracken. A delicious lunch was had.
There were also many happy dollars.
Announcements - Dictionaries to the 3rd graders at Florence M Burd school are scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday 11/14 at 12:30.
We are meeting at 10:30 on Wednesday morning at Denise's barn to help transport the Backpacks and Duffle bags to Project Self Sufficiency.
Bob Adams spoke about the hospital expansions and progress.
We gave a sizable check to the Hospital from the proceeds of the golf outing, as is our custom, and took a picture of all.
