Our Speaker, Jake Whalen gave us an intense overview of the A, B, C, and D of the Medicare system, which will affect some of us currently or others of us in the future. It's never too late/early to plan. Some highlights of his presentation included... There is a new Medicare card coming out that won't have your social security number like the original cards from 1969. Both cards will be in use for a while till old ones are phased out. Medicare has a booklet out detailing which Medigap program is best to use. This is private insurance that you can buy to cover what the original plan doesn't. MAPD Rx is a Medicare Advantage Card, you must ask your Doctor / Lab if they are on the plan. AEP is an Annual Enrollment Period that runs from December 15th to January 1st.
