This was the first meeting for our new President Bill Kehoe, who called the meeting to order.  Prayer was led by Jim Taylor, and Steve Wescott led us in singing America the Beautiful.

Introduction of Guests:  Ann Seplow, guest of Fred; Lonnie Nechamkin, guest of Liza, Joyce Weishart, guest of George, and Jason and Marcia Rittie, guests of Barbara and parents of program speaker, Ryan Rittie.

Happy Dollars:  Ann Seplow is very happy to be here today with Fred, and to celebrate his birthday!  Jan and John also were also very happy to have Fred with us, and John’s happy dollar specifically included a request that we sing Happy Birthday and Fred was the recipient of our serenade!  John Cuozzo was happy and thankful for the successful rescue of the boys trapped in a cave in Thailand.  Denise was happy to have had Clara and her Aunt visit; and to have attended the RI Convention in Toronto.  Tom Brodhecker was happy to have Fred here, but especially happy to be sitting at the “lady’s table.”  Bud is happy that Frank Eberhart is in South Carolina!  Dave Adamsbaum is happy that he is going to be traveling to Maua in two weeks!

Program:  Ryan Rittie, who will be traveling to Germany as a Rotary International Exchange Student sponsored by Newton Rotary Club, presented the program that he is putting together for his presentation when he in Germany.  This was the first time he has made a presentation and was a “practice” session for him.  Following his presentation, members of the club made comments and gave him suggestions for additions and/or changes he might want to consider.   He leaves on August 12th and was presented with a $500 check to help with his expenses.

The 50/50 was won by Jason Rittie, but he left the big $$ for another week.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
